Van Aert signs ‘for life’ at Visma | Lease a Bike
Dutch cyclist Wout van Aert has signed a contract extension with his current team, Visma | Lease a Bike.
The new deal will see Van Aert remain with the team until the end of his career, a move that has been described as “unique” in the world of cycling.
Van Aert, who is widely considered to be one of the best cyclists in the world, has been with Visma since 2021.
During his time with the team, he has won multiple stages in the Tour de France and the Vuelta a España, as well as the prestigious Strade Bianche one-day race.
Van Aert’s new contract is a significant boost for Visma, who are one of the most successful teams in the world.
The team’s manager, Marc Sergeant, said that he was “delighted” with the new deal, and that Van Aert was a “key part” of the team’s success.
