Julen Lopetegui has poured cold water on speculations linking him with a move to Wolves, insisting he is “very happy” at Sevilla.

The former Spain coach had been linked with the vacant managerial position at Wolves following the sacking of Bruno Lage.

But Lopetegui has now ruled out a move to the Premier League, saying he is “focused on Sevilla." According to Spanish outlet AS, Lopetegui said: “I am very happy here at Sevilla and focused on my work here.”

Lopetegui’s Record at Sevilla

Lopetegui has been in charge of Sevilla since 2019 and has led the club to success in the Europa League, winning the competition in 2020.

He also guided Sevilla to a fourth-place finish in La Liga in his first season in charge.

However, Sevilla have struggled this season, winning just three of their first 11 league games.

Wolves’ Manager Search Continues

Wolves are still searching for a new manager following the sacking of Lage.

Other managers who have been linked with the job include former Valencia coach Marcelino and ex-Espanyol boss Vicente Moreno.

Wolves are currently 18th in the Premier League, having won just one of their first eight games.
